Volunteer

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve..." Mark 10:45

At Philippi, we encourage our members to get involved in outreach ministries. As you begin to make connections with others within the church body, we'd like to invite you to love others with the same love Christ has shown us! Whether it be making blankets for young children, coming to the food pantry, or getting involved with a local organization, it is our hope that we continue to use our gifts to bless others.

Volunteer Representatives

Ellen DeLee (Food Pantry)

Ellen serves alongside fellow church members to feed and care for the community. The group meets every 3rd and 4th Thursday around 11am. During this time, they collect canned food items and also offer them to families in need.

All our welcome and encouraged to attend!

Mary Busby (Rushton's Hope)

Mary is a supporter and advocate for Rushton's Hope - a ministry located in Griffin, Georgia. She works alongside other members of Philippi to craft and donate items to those in need in an effort to spread the Gospel.

Each Sunday night, Rushton's Hope provides a meal and services - everyone is welcome, but the focus is on low-income families and the homeless. Volunteers for this event and for the office and warehouse of Rushton's are always encouraged! Any amount of time offered is helpful.
