Michael Tinney

Head Pastor

Pastor Michael began at Philippi on October 16th, 2022, after serving nearly 25 years as a support pastor at a thriving church in McDonough. He and his wife, Shandra, met in high school and were married a few years later. The Tinneys have 2 children and have lived in Locust Grove since 1998. Michael holds a bachelor's degree and is currently working on a Master of Ministry at Luther Rice College & Seminary. He enjoys fishing and hiking.

Dalton kuhn

Student Pastor

Dalton has served as student pastor since March of 2019. Having grownup as a Philippi youth, Dalton went on to graduate from Emmanuel College with two associate and one bachelors degree in sports management. He currently works as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Locust Grove Middle School as well as coach to the Locust Grove Middle School football team.  He is also a varsity assistant coach for Locust Grove High School baseball program. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
